Zili | Passed EN 15343 European recycled plastics certification, a new milestone towards the international market!
Recently, Zili Strapping has officially obtained the EN 15343 European Standard for Recycled Plastics (including UNE EN 15343) certification issued by TÜV Austria, an international independent third-party organisation. This certification makes Zili the first PET strapping manufacturer in China to obtain this certification, and signifies that the company's excellence in the field of plastics recycling and traceability management has reached the international standard, which further enhances Zili's competitiveness in the global market.
What is EN 15343 certification?
EN 15343 is a certification standard developed by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) to promote the standardised use of recycled plastics, with an emphasis on their recycled content and traceability. This certification ensures the quality, safety and consistency of recycled plastics in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner, and can effectively help companies to reduce the burden of additional taxes and fees, particularly in relation to the EU's plastics tax policy.
Opening doors to the European market
After passing the EN 15343 certification, Zili Strapping not only obtains the "passport" to enter the European market, but also provides strong support for the company's products exported to the EU in response to the "European Plastics Strategy". In particular, from 2024 onwards, the Spanish government requires that plastic packaging exported to the country must comply with the certification standard in order to enjoy the exemption of plastic tax. This certification provides more opportunities for Zili to expand in the global market.
